UTSA Engineering and Indian Institute of Technology-Kanpur Receives Bilateral Technology Grant
The University of Texas College of Engineering Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) have initiated a bilateral research program on system of systems engineering technology with the Indian Institute of Technology-Kanpur (IIT-K) for over a year. On September 25th we were informed that INDO-US Science and Technology Forum in New Dehli approved a proposal written jointly by UTSA ECE Professor Mo Jamshidid and IIT-K Professor Laxmidhar Behera. IIT-K is among the most prestigious technical institutions in India. This grant will enable eight well known American scientists and engineers from UTSA and the rest of the nation to go to India and conduct a workshop on System of Systems Engineering in late 2008 or early 2009.
